I have a few important things to tell you as we approach the summer. This will be my last newsletter as the Women’s Ministry Coordinator. I have been beyond blessed to have served in this position for the past two few years. It was not a position I sought after, but when asked by our Pastor to serve, I was humbled and honored to do so. At this time I take hold of Ecclesiastes 3:1 as it reminds me that “there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” This has been a wonderful season serving you, but I am also in a season of raising my children. I have felt the Lord speaking to my heart that it is time to step down and focus on the special needs of my family during this season. Moving forward I will continue to be apart of the great work of our Sister to Sister Ministry but just in a different capacity.

We will let you know soon if we will offer this study.
Join us May 19th at 6:30pm at
Amanda Rennemeyer’s home.
I hope you will consider attending the Aspire conference in Austin. This should be an amazing night!
Happy April! What a wonderful beginning to such a special month. As I watched the wildflowers bloom and the trees bud last month, I’m reminded again that God continually makes things new again, offering a chance to start again new and fresh each and everyday. What was once drab and colorless is bright and brings hope for a better day. I hope that you can find encouragement in that today.
Easter weekend will be a time for family and reflection at our church. On the evening of Good Friday, April 14th, we will have a service filled with wonderful music to usher you into the presence of the Lord. Then, Saturday beginning at 9:30am, is the EGGSTRAVAGANZA for families with children. Finally, our weekend finishes as we celebrate Jesus’ Resurrection on Easter morning, April 16th. I hope to you will come worship with us at First Baptist Church Pflugerville.
Our Spring Bible studies are coming to a close. I have loved this season of study for our women. I have personally been challenged to forget what lies behind and to continually strive for that which God has called me to do. Laying it down for Him and serving others, in HIS name. Praise God, I have far to go and I am thankful to be in the race with YOU, my sisters.
I would like to take a moment and thank those who have selflessly served in our Faith and Grace Bible study ministries. These ladies have planned, opened their homes, studied tirelessly and helped present the word of God to women all around our community. My heartfelt thanks goes to; Katie Cox (Grace Ministry Leader,) Tiffany Schweikhart, Terri Shellenberger, Susan Bell, Staci Towns, Debbie Walker, Eva Melton, Shellynne Wucher (Faith Minstry Leader,) Deborah Rogers, Carole McCarty, Beth Johnson, Shelli Hankins, Kim Longino and Melody Downing.
We are looking forward and have not yet decided what is coming next. Stay tuned for more information to come!
Next Game night will be April 21st at 6:30pm at the home of Amanda Rennemeyer
Scripture Writing plans, thanks to Shannon Long, are available Here
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Happy March! I have just a few items for you. I hope you are participating in one of our Bible studies. I have heard great things about both. I am so amazed at how many of you are faithful to study the Word of God and to make it a priority in your life. What a difference it makes when we hide His truths in our heart. He gives us strength when we are weak and discouraged and brings His truths to mind when we need them most.
If you are not already using the Scripture writing plans, please consider this 10 minute task. I promise it will become a grounding and meaningful time with Him. This month’s verses are about Grace. How wonderful!
March Game Night is Friday 17th at 6:30pm
at the home of Amanda Rennemeyer.
I am still overflowing with thoughts and emotions from this past weekend. We had about 70 ladies gather for IF:PFLUGERVILLE 2017. We were challenged and inspired. Inspired not to do big grandiose things for the Kingdom, but to slow down and pour our lives in to each other. To build community and find one person to decide to show up for; to give of ourselves selflessly and show them Jesus. That’s it. Show them Jesus, in small ways. In your time, service and unconditional love. We can do it ladies. You touch one life. Then they touch one life and it just continues. What a blessing.
I am so very grateful for our Sister to Sister Team. They worked tirelessly to create a special place for us to be together. My heartfelt thanks go to Shelli Hankins, Katie Cox, Shellynne Wucher, Kim Longino, Terri Shellenberger, Tiffany Schweikhart, Melody Downing, Susan Bell, Lori Walker, Deborah Rogers and Carole McCarty. These ladies help, not only with special events but our Bible Study ministry as well. We are also extremely grateful for the assistance of Karen Small in our church office and to the Media team for keeping us going through the weekend.

We were never meant to take this journey of faith alone or in secret. God has entrusted us with the great and mighty gift of the gospel, something too precious and life-giving to keep to ourselves.
In this 6-session Bible study, Beth will encourage you to guard what God has entrusted to you, further His kingdom by sharing Christ with others, and pour into future generations just as Paul once mentored Timothy. Because in this journey of joy and hardship, we need each other to stay the course and live a life of faithfulness.

Happy New Year Sisters! We jump right into 2017 with excitement as we look forward to IF:PFLUGERVILLE in just one month. Shelli Hankins is leading our IF:PFLUGERVILLE team this year. She and our Women’s Ministry Team have been praying and planning for this very special event. Would you like to know more? Take a moment and watch this quick video to learn a little bit more about it.
We will be live-streaming this event with women from all around the world. What an amazing thing to know that we will be simultaneously worshipping with women from the US, England, Albania, Nairobi, Rwanda, Australia, Okinawa and Vietnam, just to name a few. WOW! Can you think of another time you were able to do that? We are honored to be apart of the IF:GATHERING and hope that you will join ladies from all over Pflugerville as we gather together at First Baptist Pflugerville to worship and learn more about the disciples from the book of Acts. Follow this link to register. https://register.ifgathering.com/event/ifpflugerville If you are planning to attend, we ask that you spread the word and invite your friends.
Share on Facebook or Instagram. You can follow us on IF:PFLUGERVILLE Facebook page. We will share information there as the event gets closer.
This month I want to encourage you to plan to be in the WORD. I know how many of us make new year’s resolutions. Many times they get forgotten within a week or so. May I encourage you to spend at least 10 minutes a day focusing on the Lord. I promise, after awhile, your 10 minutes will naturally grow as you begin longing to meet the Lord each day. A great way to begin this is by utilizing the Scripture Writing Plan. This month you have two to chose from. One has scriptures focusing on Courage. Who doesn’t need to be encouraged by our Lord to be Courageous? I certainly do. Go HERE to find this month’s plans.
Another great way to utilize your time and read the Bible or a devotional is on your smartphone. I know… I should tell you that you have to actually open your Bible, which you should, but this is a great tool to use on the go. The FREE YouVersion Bible App allows you to have your Bible at your finger tips. What I love most about it is that you have hundreds of Daily Devotionals to use. Some are only a few days long, some last all year. I hope you will check it out.
Spring Bible studies are just around the corner. We will be announcing them very soon. They will begin the third week of February.
Merry Christmas! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family. I have to say this is truly my favorite time of the year. I start playing Christmas music as soon as I start pulling out the decorations. This year that was two days before Thanksgiving. I was in my happy place. I think my favorite item to put out this year was an early Christmas gift . My in-laws had the opportunity to visit the Holy Land and they surprised us with a beautiful nativity from Bethlehem. What a treasure. As I carefully unwrapped each piece, I wondered what it must have been like for those shepherds. Complete and utter amazement. But more than that, I wondered, did they realized this was it? How long did it take for them to know that this was the long awaited messiah? Can you see it? Angles? The star? My heart was so full. I didn’t want to miss this moment. This precious moment. Then I began to think about Christmases past that were so busy and full of events, parties and buying gifts. I hardly remember them. But what I do remember is what I forgot. I forgot the baby, lying in the manger. The one who had come to save us all. I forgot him. This year, I want to see the baby Jesus in it all. I want to ponder on the wonder of that night and rejoice with the angles and sing, Glory to God in the Highest! I pray that you stop and take time to remember; be still and be in awe. Don’t miss the baby who held the hope of the world, in a manger, so long ago.
